SCAN expands its Bolton store with huge new retail section

We have invested in our Bolton-based store with the expansion of our existing Retail section. The new addition, which opened on Saturday 5th July, showcases products from many of the world's leading I.T. manufacturers, and as you'd expect feedback received has been extremely positive.

Here are some pictures of the SCAN new Reception ...

Why not come down and experience the change for yourself at the following address..

Scan Computers International Limited
25-28 Enterprise Park
Middlebrook
Horwich
Bolton
BL6 6PE

We are open 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday and closed on Sunday. If you're wondering how to find it, here's a little Google Map:

Directions: (Remember, we're not just mail order, we have a showroom and sales counter ready to take your order or discuss your requirements!)

From the M61, take Junction 6 (signposted for Horwich) and follow the A6027 towards Horwich (you are heading towards the Reebok Stadium). Follow this road to the first roundabout and take a left here (Burnden way). You now pass close to the Reebok Stadium (on your right) and down towards the roundabout at the bottom. At this point you should be able to see our illuminated sign outside the building.

Take the second exit at the roundabout (Aspinall Way) and you will see the Scan building on your right hand side. Keep going around the back of the building and as the road straightens out you will see a turning to your right called Enterprise Park. Turn right here and follow the road around to the right - you've arrived! Park up and we'll see you inside. We're opposite the Reebok Football Stadium, with safe parking for over 200 cars with nearby parking for over 5000, and over 100 security cameras.

Best Regards

Great way to score some extra publicity... Don't know what agreements are made between Scan and Bit-tech, but we all have to obey the same rules

While I don't mind user feedback, RMA problems and the likes (that's what the Scan subforum is for), I do mind Advertising on the board. Even/especially if it's just a (lazy) link to an other forum...

I really serious doubt or understand how there can be a problem here from advertising in the SCAN forums about SCAN itself, the forum is branded as SCAN our Avatars are branded with SCAN and our Signatures are also branded to SCAN - I understand and agree to the rule

However in my personal opinion I have interpreted this rules as aimed to users posting in the general forum IE if I or any other SCAN member started to solicit SCAN in a non SCAN forum then this rule would apply, however when adverts about SCAN are placed in a SCAN forum, which we run and pay for I am bewildered how anyone can deem this as breaking any rules and I feel you have mis-interpreted this rule. Coupled with the fact if this thread is being reported then I guess every other thread in this forum also needs to be reported as well, meaning if indeed this rules does apply even to Company forums the only option would be to close it down !

But as this rule in this case does not apply then forum will remain

It's Scan's own forum, they can do what they see fit (within reason).

Chris - send us some pictures mate and we'll get you a news post up on here! richard.swinburne at bit-tech dot net

Congrats on the new store!

Glider.

I agree on your point regarding a link directly to another forum so I will amend the post shortly.

Regarding advertising the SCAN site through links to SCAN, adverts etc BIT-TECH has confirmed there is no issue with this, we are not breaking any rules, so on this point I am afraid you are incorrect and this post will remain and future posts referring to SCAN, any changes made within SCAN will be proudly displayed through this forum. We have invested and we are very proud of this expansion and will promote this expansion and will not be dictated to on adverts placed for SCAN in our forum.

All of the above has been confirmed by BIT-TECH already and please contact them directly if you prefer, but a post should be made shortly by BIT-TECH to confirm the above.

I will amend the original post shortly and remove the link.

Best Regards

We've sorted this with Glider, it's no stress, but if you want extra coverage the offer of a news post is still there.

Very classy. Looks better than any shop I have been in lately, it sort of reminds me of an airport, the nice clean openess. All the big product posters really set it off.

Also I see at least 2 aircon units on the ceiling, I hope its nearing zero in there, that defiantly in my kind of shop
