Epic has announced that Gears of War 2 will feature new linked achievements which will tie-in with the original game.

I caught this briefly on another site. Interesting, to say the least. I'm wondering if there's any more than the ones they've announced, and what they'll be.

I'm just hoping there are other ways to unlock that content without having to go through the original Gears.

I would assume so - Though, the original Gears is pretty short work if you do it Co-op. Six or seven hours on Hardcore (I think it's Hardcore anyway.. Whatever the middle one is), maybe eight on Insane.

These aren't anything new really, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 did it but it actually unlocked an achievement...

It only took them a few months to patch it so people actually got the achievement

But agreed - They're not new.

Gears of War 2 is set for release as an Xbox 360 exclusive

this is missleading

as we all know the pc release will follow
