http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/07...ks-expansion/1

Scan invited us to visit its headquarters after opening its new retail store front. It has also nearly finished a warehouse expansion.

Wait......

We get free shipping on orders over £25 from scan.co.uk?

Why was I not informed of this earlier? I've been using Ebuyer for free shipping...

Damn, I came here thinking there was going to be breast expansion.

What a crock.

Anyway, the forums revamp is cool. I'm looking forward to what comes of it!

It's a shame it's in UK I wish if they open a store here in Dubai or Egypt. If they open in Egypt I will travel for them

I've spent a shed load of money with SCAN over the years, still my preffered supplier though ebuyer is faster at delivery

The showroom looks much better than my Local (Portsmouth) Novatech Showroom, although, Novatech's showroom serves it's purpose. Still, it does look more professional in my very expert opinion, haha

Tell you what, give Mainland Europe a miss, and bring a retail store to the south of England - Essex preferably!

Good news that they are doing well. Used these guys a lot for PC orders. They let me down recently though by taking my money off my card for an order placed as 'in stock for next day delivery - also confirmed over the phone prior to ordering too!!'. No delivery next day... rang them and found out it wasnt in stock... yet my card had already been charged.... was not happy at all. I cancelled the order there and then, and received it the next day from overclockers.co.uk

Other than that, Scan have been very good. Just dont believe them when they tell you something is in stock.

And as for a retail presence in Bolton.... erm.... ??? look at your ordering books and see who places the most orders to you (and where they live). I would be amazed if the region was anywhere near Bolton. South East...... Milton Keynes or London preferably !

I like the fact that they used IDE ribbon cables cut with wire cutters to open the store instead of the boring ribbon and scissors. Top job

Scan thinks about expanding to mainland europe? they should expand to people in the uk that work fulltime and cant get stuff delivered to work first by offering better delivery options.
