BioWare considering Mass Effect DS

BioWare is currently considering making DS remakes of several recent games, including Mass Effect and Jade Empire.

I can see where they're coming from with some of that, but Mass Effect?
I can't imagine that working too well on a DS. Or any handheld for that matter.

Mass Effect is impressive because of the scale of it. I don't know if it would translate well. I'm sure they'd just redo the combat etc so it's not fps, you can easily make a decent RPG on DS hardware. Although I don't like it when companies spread their franchises across too many consoles. I don't have a desire to buy a DS but I would want the story from any Mass Effect game on it =/
