Remedy: Alan Wake is still in development

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/08...-development/1

Remedy just wants to pass along a friendly reminder to say they are still alive and that Alan Wake is still being worked on.

Perhaps they got tainted by 3DRealms during Max Payne?

I loved Max Payne.. but Alan Wake looks maybe too different for me.. I'll have to wait for its release to make a decision on whether I like it, but it's not looking as interesting as Max Payne atm. Especially when they revealed all the paranormal crap in the game.

Ah come on, as I always say, it took Remedy like 6 years to develop Max Payne, way way way longer than they originally stated, and it turned out not only to be cutting edge, but bloody brilliant as well. I guess Remedy just like to take their time and get it right, which isn't a bad thing by any means, so cut them some slack.

I actually thought about this game a couple of months ago, and then with no showing at e3 I had given up on it. Good to know it's still coming, I'm actually looking forward to it again. Nothing else has come out to fill the niche it advertised itself as yet.

Its not that big of deal for me to wait, I suppose that the most pressure is put on them by the board rather then the public. But yea I've been waiting since they first announced it was coming out for the 360 years ago and i can wait another couple of years no big deal.

It is still one of my most anticipated games, but so was Too Human and look how that turned out. I'm sure it will be great, but it probably won't have the same impact (at least graphically) as it would have done if it had come out last year.
