Er..No. ill stick with my PSP thanks. My DS and PDA are sat in a draw gathering dust. Plus, that thing looks ugly and not very ergonomic

Funny - My PSP is sat in the drawer for the same reason. Too big, too heavy, actually painful to use for long periods. It's my DS that gets the love - small, discrete, comfy.

why will this allow homebrew/emulation when nintendo and sony wont?
wont they be just as afraid of copyright infringement?

I'd like one, but I don't think I'd use it that often.

DS cheesecake!

I'd like one, but empty pockets won't allow it. Need to mod my PSP for custom firmware, but don't have that much time as a Grad student.

Because when you buy a DS or PSP (Wii, 360, etc) then you agree to terms and conditions. They want to keep the system CLOSED, so that they be the only ones to make or license games for them so that they can make money for it. If it's an OPEN platform, like the PC, then anyone can make money off of it without having to pay anyone else.

Pandora is hoping to be profitable enough on hardware that they don't need to sell software or games, while Sony and so forth sell their systems at a loss (except for the Wii) so that they can make money out of the games.

o ok i thought it was that the original creator of the game that youve just emulated that would be against it. like they wouldnt be getting any "rolyalties" (not the right term i know) for a game they had developed and would have gotten if you had gone through the proper channels to get.

i guess i took it up wrong.

That too, but it's a different argument. To run an emulated game you usually need a ROM, which is an illegal copy of the game.
