Xbox 360 to get exlcusive Tomb Raider DLC

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/10...b-raider-dlc/1

Eidos is backing the Xbox 360 it seems when it comes to the console wars, promising exclusive DLC for the platform after Tomb Raider: Underworld.

I have a question.
The old article from February says they intended the game to have 8 levels.. so does this mean there's now 10 (if 360 owners are willing to pony up the dough) or is there still 8 and only 6 are included on the retail game?

I think it's 8 +2, not 6 +2.

actually adventure games like this, somehow blend well with the console , its been 2 years almost since I got my 360, and I havent still got the hang of FPS games on it, but adventure games I've been enjoying alot. time to save up for the TR game on the 360 then

Ok, that's good then. With the DLC it's always a question of whether they make the game then cut out content for sale later... or make the game the best it can be and then keep working in-order to offer further content down the road.

People don't like to be screwed over and a bit of transparency about DLC would go a long way. I think there are publishers which cut content to make money this way coughEAcough..... it's a slippery slope.

Skipping this one. I'de rather buy one of the many exclusive titles releasing between PS3/360 than buy a gimped version because they pander to Sony or MS on the extra content (Mirror's Edge for PS3, Tomb Raider/Fallout 3 for Xbox).

Unbelieveable. You see this as good thing? They're giving gamers a gimped version just so they can exclusively sell 360 owners levels that should have come to begin with. Also, why is MS pouring resources into 3rd party titles vs. their own 1st party titles? Were they not confident that 360 owners would buy this game w/o the extra-cost levels or something? I mean achievements alone should be enough to keep 360 owners buying the 360 version, even if they own a PS3, so again, what's the point?

Now had they offered these levels exclusively for free or something, then I'd see this as good news, but that's not the case. Thank you Sony for not wasting your money on 3rd party titles like this, now just continue using it to make more games like LBP.....
