The Mozilla Foundation has officially launched the first public beta of Firefox 3.1, which introduces some impressive improvements - including a much faster JavaScript engine.

Seems like a nice improvement there on the javascript side and the extra bling on the switching interface is no big deal but nice anyway. I won't be rushing to download this right away but it's definitely a very welcome improvement.
