Shame, I remember when I managed to get these guys to sponsor my CS team a few years ago and not they are... gone!

That's pretty sad news, Enermax make some rock-solid PSUs and are always one of the first companies that I turn too when looking for a PSU.

A Black day for us in the UK, I wonder how many companies like this are gonna feel the pinch of our economic downturn???

Shame, remember two years back making a trip to that office and everyone there was pretty helpful - that power supply is running the PC I'm typing on now... Although yeah, long gone are the days when just two or three brands make up the highend for PSUs.

hmmm, who knows if this is enermax being proactive rather than waiting to make a loss in the uk. Either way if a giant like enermax has to move then maybe more will follow. There are too many if and buts in a situation like this for a forum post but i just hope other business' who this(period of lower consumer spending) is having a greater effect on can manage their business' well enough to not remove themselves entirely from our marketplace.

note: enermax' uk rma service was brilliant the one time i actually had to use it!

peace

no surprise, other manufacturers have caught up quality wise yet Enermax psu's are stil more expensive than the rest, they didn't react to the changed market environment (especially the rise of corsair + pcp&c) and thats what they get for it.

This is to compensate all the UK-only competitions! Muahaha!

On a serious side of things, the UK is definitely a difficult place to keep a company running.

Shut up shop is an English way of saying "Close down/Shut down"
