Gizmondo delayed by recession

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/12...by-recession/1

Gizmondo, the ill fated mobile gaming platform, has missed a 2008 relaunch thanks to economic conditions.

Does anyone actually want this to get released? Does anyone really care?
I think he should save his money. It's so unlikely to be a success.
It's not even innovative or interesting.

I forget the name of the other open handheld gaming device that gets mentioned on here sometimes, but that actually looks quite good. This Gizmondo thing is just doomed to failure.

its probably not even his money.
I guess he is taking a nice wage from stupid investors, when it all goes wrong as it will eventually, he will come out of it without any personal impact and probably has enough cash built up to live without working untill he finds more stupid investors to give him money to do something else that wont work.

Why bother. By the time this thing comes out, you could probably get a GP32, a Pandora, or even a Netbook with better performance.

I was under the impression that the DS had already more or less won the handheld 'war' (more like the gaming equivalent of the Chinese invasion of Tibet in terms of fair competition.) With consoles getting cheaper and cheaper and more mainstream, and phones blurring every line they can touch, handheld consoles are looking very endangered all over, I reckon.
