http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200...d-sli-review/1

We're back with a full, unrestricted and in-depth review of the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 295. We also test Quad SLI for the third time, comparing it against quad CrossFire to see if the ultra-high end has a new performance leader. Read on to find out what happened next...

My usual rant about dual GPU cards: What are the numbers on how much these things would cost on electricity bills? The power consumption numbers are mental...

Excellent review as usual guys! As well as these cards perform, you have to seriously question the performance/price ratio. With even GTX 280's dropping under $300 US, you'd have to work hard to justify spending more. Of course, there are those that want to be on the cutting edge, and this should make them happy (for a few months).

Good review but I really could not get my head around the first few graphs comparing single card and multi card improvement. Maybe you should put the percentages to the right of each bar, rather than inside it, as low percentage bars are difficult to read.

Damn that is a monster of a card. Will you re-visit this when the drivers mature?

Looks an interesting card.

I wonder if ATI will enable sideport on the HD4870X2 now (rumoured to offer performance improvements).

Pricing is key though. Obivously you will still have some people who will buy it regardless, but if its significantly more than the HD4870X2 (£50+) then it will have a much harder time selling (especially given how late it is in comparison to the HD4870X2).

Can we also get some folding numbers? Some people (like me) would be very interested in seeing these.

Hm, am i the only (color blind) one that can't see a difference in the first set of graphs? Only after reading that Falout 3 wins i managed to see the difference in the dark graphs. Are there actually any performance avantages in quadGPU for ATI?

I bet this will be a halo product, just like the 9800GX2 was, so I doubt the prices will be anywhere near MSRP for a looooong time.

Will it actually be $499? Or will they sell it for $500+ when it's in the stores?

so a 280 ~ $300 and a 295 is ~ $500

would triple sli 280 at $900 beat quad sli 295 at $1000?

just curious.
