Not world's first flexible OLED - one was used as part of the Royal Institution Cristmas Lectures this year (granted it was a simple demo displaying "Royal Institution" on it)

The one they had in that lecture was an OLED sign/light that only displays one (black and white) image. He called it a display but it's not.

Sony has had the flex OLED for like 3 years now. While this isnt the first it is by far in improvement on Sony's design.

Would be nice to have the walls of the rooms of your house wallpapered with that stuff -- can change them to any colour you want or have direct video played wherever you want. Nifty!

To my knowledge this was done with multiple linked rear projectors.

But you don't really need flexible OLED to use it as a wallpaper, do you?

Still, as I love new gadgets/technologies: I am excited!

A monitor curved so that every pixel is exactly the same distance from the pupil in your eye would make for a nice premium product.

Mmm... alienware's curved screen has nothing on this... imagine a 30" curved OLED display. I think I just came a little (though that may have been the reference to squeezing Beyonce a little)....

Have you ever seen the movie Total Recall? In the first scene the wall looks like wallpaper but with the click of a remote its a TV or scenic view.

Imagine one of these OLEDs with touch screen technology in them.

Still don't see why it has to be flexible for that. Maybe I'm just ignorant.
