so you'd have to re-buy a game you've already got on the PSP1 to play it on the PSP2? Can't see that working myself. It's not really backwards compatible is it?

"Low cost" and "memory stick" don't belong in the same sentence.

foe the love of god please make it conformable to hold for people who's hands are bigger than a hobbits! Oh and move the analogue stick. A bit of ergonomic redesign and the PSP would of been great.

its way to early for a PSP2, at least next year is more believable. Sony would not announce the line-up they did for the PSP then release a new handheld. Makes no sense.

if they let you stream game collection/music/video from your computer over wifi, it'll be a big hit.

Yes, but my question was on backwards compatibility.
    eg
Xbox 360 can use (some of) the discs from the xbox
PS3 (depending on version) can use (some of) the discs PS2/PS1
PS2 can use the discs from PS1
Wii can use the discs from GC
DS can use the carts from GBA
GBA can use the carts from GB

    -These are backwards compatible

PSP2 cannot use the UMDs from PSP1 - you'd need to purchase a digital copy from the website of the game you've already got on UMD

    - this is not backwards compatability, it's emulation...
