Log into the router,
Go to security,
(I think its under there) Put his mac address in the restrict/ban address pannel,
save,
Restart router,
Roll around floor laughing at brother.

Go to this link and it tells you how to turn another user's web pages upside down --literally.

Even better: use the "blur" function. Then tell your brother it looks that way on his PC because his wifi signal reception is poor.

How did you ever hear of that/ find out.

Thats the best security ever, but i assume someone in the know could just script it on there end to flip or de-blur it, i assume...

+1, but I could probably get into NASA faster than I could learn it.

tl;dr

if you have a linksys router log in at the ip (default is 192.168.1.1) and go to Status > Local Network > DHCP Client Table. it will open a pop up and show everyone accessing the internet at that moment, by IP Address and Computer Name. Simply Tick the box for the computer you dont want on, and click Delete. Terminates his connection and makes it a PITA to get back on.

I would like to kick a guest, temporarily. The guest just uses skype for hours at a time and is making my internet slowed, literally. On my internet contract we are not allowed to use to much at once, or else it would be fine.

Could someone please tell me how to kick this person off the network temporarily, i have a router with the model version of DSL-2640U and the software version is RU_2.01.

Thanks,
Marco

its easier to use Arcai.com's netcut.
very easy to see who's on your network, and to cut them down from network, and lock them forever.

its easy to find it on google

Another trick is to change the local host file remotely. for example setting facebook.com to something else like google.com.
Drives people crazy at work!
