LOL I was wondering why the CPC forums didn't work anymore!

Ah well I like bit-tech as well so suppose it made good sense what has been done

I'm happy so many CPC regulars did decide to come over.... considering the amount of "you wont see me over there" talk that was going on.

Got a worklog and a few other comments.

Not got any/many replys.

Would have had some on the custom PC forums.

While my worklog may not be the most riveting or intersting, over 1000 veiws, and only 3 coments are made about the size or availability of images.

60 views on the link to the Custom PC gaming servers.

Big shiny forum it may be.
But I'm not really enjoying talking to myself.

While I'm happy to give the new home a go, I'm not going to spend time typing stuff for it to be ignored.

If I want to be ignored, I've got kids and a wife who do it very well thankyou very much.

Disheartend and fed up and may well be looking for another forum to call home.

If you have 1000 views it's not really ignored. And the lack of replies may be because of missing pictures or that nobody felt that they had anything constructive to say. That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

You should take a look at the FM forum (Photo related). Some people get lots of replies, but some get none. There is no lack of viewers or quality of the posts. Some threads just die out faster than others for some reason.

Yeah, it's only been up a few days, so still young, give it time, it'll develop

Plus, it's not the CPC Meeting Place, it's guys from MU, PCPro etc, The Meeting Place was a joint and shared forum where everyone could gather and talk, hence the name "The Meeting Place".

This is honestly by far the best pc techie site bar none (IMHO). And is looking like people are missing "the meetng place" more than the techie side of CPC forums. So why not try to recreate it at bit-tech ?

The Meeting Place wasn't just for CPC, it was for all the mags from Dennis, and whilst PCPro may have a slight interest in modding and overclocking, Mac users don't, that's what the meeting place was and still is for, to allow us to talk with each other still.

Still gonna stick 'round here though

I do understand your point, I was just suggsting bit-tech has forums like serious etc & don't see problem with an exra forum or more here for you peeps twas all? After all you've all probably contributed more to dennis financially than people like me (pc pro subscriber to one issue in last coupla years)

True, true, have you looked at the site? It's not just the meeting place, there's also Mac support section, PC support etc. whilst many Mac users may find some of the topics here useful, I don't think it's for them really. Still staying here though
