Great naming convention Arthur although it doesn't look like Bambam is feeling very well.

Considering the time period involved I'm thinking that your dinosaur may somehow be wrapped up in this macabre missing chimp mystery

I have added another machine lately. Now I usually get about 18k ppd. Earlier today FAHmon showed I was getting
23k ppd, so I did a screen shot.

I wondering today, where have Taffy and manxminx got to? Have they run off together?

I have just put VMWare notfreds on Bambam and it is getting 1680 ppd instead of the 374 it was getting using the single CPU Windows client.

Dino has only 1GB memory at the moment, I am thinking of putting more in and running VMWare notfreds as this would suit its 4 core CPU.

When we get to 20,082349, which accounts for the points we started with, then all the positions in the race will have been decided. I think the rules of a competition evolve as a reaction to different things happening. The first two challenges were just two teams, so they just needed to decide the target number of points. This is the first year a team has quit. This is the first year a team has been completely outclassed, as we had no time to prepare. A few people have suggested that next year is a time limit, instead of a points target.

I think we will have to see what happens. The historical graphs of the three previous challenges show that the last team does not finish. That could just be that who ever recorded the graphs lost interest.

While there were still two members of [H]ardApe continuing, they were getting just enough points per day, 30,000, to finish the race by next year. Now there seems to be only one member, who can't do it on his own. There is a group who were planning to "ghost" for [H]ardApe when we finish.

We're rolling at over 450K per day right now I somehow don't think the two leccy guzzling PS3s I've added have helped much with this. I think it has more to do with the rest of the team's steely determination to get to the line together with some delayed point credits for 353 and 511 point wus for good measure. Link

It'd be real nice if all these credits arrive over the next 24 hours.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Now the stats server is inaccessible.

"Special stats update in progress. External access to the Folding@Home stats server is down to expedite the stats input process. We expect this to take about 24 hours."

As we are coming close to the finish, I spent some time today tweaking my already finely tuned rigs to eek out a little extra performance. It wasn't easy as it's been a warm day here, so the Air con unit had to come out and be put on full blast to keep the machines (and me!) cool. The farm is now running at 29,500PPD on current WUs. Not bad considering it usually tops out at 25K

I don't think I'll be able to run them at that after the CC though, it's just too hot in here with them overclocked so much and running all the time. I'm running them in my own room at the moment because I'm in the middle of getting a new network connection into the workshop, which is where they would normally run. Hottest bedroom EV0r

The problem is that the Stanford stats server is off line for 24 hours so how will we know when we have reached our goal

Extremeoverclocking seems to be working

Extreme Overclocking stats are fed from the Stanford stats, so if Stanford is down, EOC may stall.

Judging from our recent PPD, we may pass the magic 20,082,349 during Tuesday night. I wouldn't be surprised if we discover we've finished once Stanford stats is running again, and works through the backlog.

Any volunteers to check the stats in the small hours?
