that dead before dawn will be a really nice addtion, as well as a decent matchmaking system - like 'looking for 4' or something so I can finally slip all the ragers after 1 round when they get pwnd. . .

I just bought l4d this weekend. Love it!
the Dead before Dawn movie isn't that a newer version of Dawn before dead it still is the best zombie movie ever made. I was 9 when i watched it first and always wondered why you would want to leave a shopping mall with everything you need....

Any Romero movie is of course the basis for all Zombie movies to be judged by. But to be honest, 28 days later is the only one that made me check my shorts for marks afterwards. That and the first 15 mins or so (when the little girl is shadowed in the doorway, OMG) of Dawn of the Dead (2004) are the ones that give me the shivers. . .

oh sweet I hope you will be able to download them and play them in single player mode, I dont care to much for the online play as there are to many children who play online and it gets annoying... ~_~

I'm going to be the negative one and say that this should have been released quite a while ago. The game really needs more content and after a few months of playing it, it becomes repetitive. Not saying any of the mechanics are screwed up, its just that the lack of content mars the game.

Still I really can't wait to see what modders put out. We could all use some good custom content. More to the point, maybe Valve will do like the did with Day of Defeat or TF2 and add quality user made maps into the game.

I want to see Counter-Strike: Source weapons in Left 4 Dead.

If it's fairly trivial to do, Day Of Defeat: Source weapons too

I'm also hoping for quality user made packs to make it into official patches as well. I don't have time to hunt them down/make all my friends get them/find a server with them on.

You have a good point in saying that it should have been released last year. The game is over a year old and you would expect a lot of new campaigns released from Valve. One campaign per month is doable I think. I always wondered why Valve wait so long for new expansions, levels and a SDK. Modders are waiting in line to create some stunning stuff. there are some good ideas for mods already.
