WRT160N-UK Router! Grr!!

Hey all, so I bought a new Linksys WRT160N-UK router because my old one was getting low signal all the time. I don't know that much about networking just basic stuff so I need simple easy instructions if I get any replies

I go to the router by putting 192.168.1.1 in the browser and enter my details needed yet I get no response after its reset just dead unloaded internet pages. Ive included a pic below to show my settings. I also included a ping test. (I have no idea if it helps or not)
oh and I have tried different firmwares and they don't change a thing, I want a wireless network but have tried plugging my laptop into the router via ethernet and there is still no internet connection, the light on the router representing the internet isnt on. The wireless however is and works fine so it is a internet problem

LINK

Last point I would like to make is that its not my connection as I'm using my old router now (its just a bit slow) but the internet works fine on this, any ideas? Thanks
