A series of new videos hint that an announcement for Mechwarrior 5 could be on the horizon soon.

The thought of gigant robots shooting at each other.. at first you think how can that go wrong..... but I have honestly yet to try a such game that are worth mutch.

Regarding the image that accompanies the article, you do realise that the Awesome battlemech is totally different from the Madcat/TimberWolf model?

Given how bad MW4 was, and that it's inevitable that it'll be a console ported, "press the triangle button to win" style of game, I don't hold out much hope.

MW2 Mercs was the ****, but that was back when the only other sims were terrible...

I still play Mechwarrior 3 every so often. Totally pumped for a new one providing they take everything good from 2, 3 & 4

Are we thinking about the same Mechwarrior 4?

Mechassault was awful as it was console game first and Mechwarrior second... Mechwarrior 4 (and Mercs) while lacking some of the OMGdetail of MW2, Mercs and 3... wasn't half bad. And as far as I was aware, Mech 4 was never released on anything other than the PC.

I think some previous posters are confusing MW4 with MechAssault.

Yes please! I need a good reason to pull out the 'old' Saitek sticks I bought for Jump to Lightspeed. As for other games I'd love to see again... Gimme a new TIE Fighter. Or System Shock.
