Storage Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB Benchmark

I have just (I repeat, just) got my new rig up and running. Before doing anything (other than installing the graphics drivers) I wanted to benchmark the new Spinpoint F3 that I've got in there, so I fired up HD Tach. Here's what I got:

These are on an not fully formatted drive, I split it into three partitions and hadn't formatted the two non OS ones. I will post formatted ones later as I have no idea if that effects performance or not.

Spec:
Intel i5 750 2.66GHz
MSI P55-GD65
896mb Gainward Golden Sample GTX260
4GB G.Skill Ripjaw 1600MHz CAS7 (probably not running at right settings yet though)

OS: Win XP Pro

I know theyre not directly comparable, being different systems, but it gives an idea

 

Finished formatting all my partitions and I can say that this has had no effect on the results, they are all basically the same so feel free to discuss them.

 

You graphs look very stock exchange like

 

Just ran HD Tune as well and the average read is very much the same.

 

Sorry to revive a 9 month old thread but just ran HDTach on my 1TB Samsung F3 and got an Average Read of 122.1 MB/s
