The Molex adaptor on my water-cooling pump has been detached for some time now, a fact I only realised when I opened the case just now to see why I was getting bluescreens every couple of hours in Win7, after a faultless performance using Vista. I assumed it was dodgy USB Wifi drivers (no room for a card in the system with Quadfire!)

The loop, on my overclocked i7-920, was taking several hours to overheat to the point of bluescreens (high 80s), and even with a total pump-flow of zero, was never triggering the Thermtrip.

Anyway, all sorted now. No damage, seems to be flying through Prime95 just fine (as I type this, in fact!). Will keep everyone posted.

The moral of the story - if something's going wrong, CHECK!

On a side-note, I'd like to thank Antec and XSPC for putting together kit that will keep an overclocked i7 stable for hours with no active cooling at all.

    Will

Heh, I've been there... turned my D5 Vario to 1 instead of 5. Doh!
