    It's... well, it can be a lot of things. You can use it like Facebook for messaging friends, but you can also use it as an easy way to follow websites and people, like RSS, but less fiddly.

    I know what Twitter is. Was more of a poor attempt at a joke... :)

    That being said, I have about as much use for it as I have for Facebook, which is absolutely none.

    Twitter is pointless. It's like Facebook without profiles, or instant messaging without the practicality, or RSS feeds without the verbosity, or blogs without the depth.

    In ten years we'll be laughing at Twitter the way we laugh at the 80s now.
