Yeah I only went that path to get to the KV-13, and possibly down the IS line if I ever start playing again.

So did l but I still kept going on the Russian medium line anyway. I am about half way in xp to the T-44.
I went through the KV-13 quickly to the IS and am struggling with it. I have everything for it but the weak armour let's it down badly, even tanks two tiers below have no problem penetrating it in the right spot. If I am the top tier in a battle then it is great fun (when played correctly) but against any tanks from a higher tier it is easy meat. The slow reload, poor turret traverse speed and thin armour are frustrating. That said, it is the only way to the awesome IS-3 and IS-4 so it has to be done. I am just contemplating spending gold on converting elite experience to get rid it it quickly as the shortfalls mean you don't get decent xp even when you do win. For the IS/any T6/7 in higher games, best thing to do is hang back a little. Latch onto a high-tier player, and wait for any opportunity to attack. The IS is best when pretending to be like a medium. It's fairly quick and fairly maneuverable so whilst tanks you're up against are distracted with your high tier player, flank or charge at them and get around the sides or back, where your 390 damage gun will really hurt. You might not survive as often, and it requires careful judgment, but at least you'll get some experience. Problem is it's just not a sniper tank, the accuracy and penetration aren't good enough for that.
As for the T34-85 and T43, they're great tanks, and they teach you a lot about playing Russian mediums: IE rely not on the armour, but on the speed and maneuverability of the tank. You'll run rings around a Panther with its slow turning turret, and the same against a T20 as it's not very maneuverable, so play to its strengths. Sitting back and potshotting just isn't effective. |

I've got a steel wall on the t34-85. Don't ask me how that happened though.
Its got a great gun and a fair bit of speed so enjoy it. |

choices choices. I could buy the T32, the Tiger P or the T44.
Which way to go? I like being in a tank that hits hard but I also like to be fast. What would you suggest?

Urgh.
I think I've hit the wall in this game. I'm finding I'm making a lose even when winning in my Teir 7 tanks and I don't play enough games in my lower tier elite tanks to support the loss. Tempted to go back down the trees and start either eliting other tanks of lower teirs or start other branches entirely. Teir 5 and 6 seem to be the nice zone for me.

Find some tier 5/6's you enjoy and use them as credit farmers.
The KV,KV3 and SU-85 are probably the most notable. |

Thats the problem I don't really play enough to get that many credits.
Currently My VK is sat in the garage knocked out because I don't have the credits to fix it.

My elite PzIV is a good credit farmer and is cheap to repair if knocked out (fun too). I also use my elite VK3601H as a credit farmer but it is more expensive to repair.

su-85 is amazing for creds armed with the same 107 off the kv, soon to become horridly overpowered ( when the kv2 is moved to teir6 ) it will have the largest gun avalible in its teir
if you find yourself top dog, it can be a pain as you dont have much armour ive fitted mine with vents, rammer and a camonet atm, also training my crew in camo in the hope that i can get off the first shot on a kv without being seen this should ( in theroy, and providing my gunner lays off the vodka ) mean i can own a kv without being seen at all ( after all, i can 2 shot him ) its also pretty fast for a TD which allows you to get to nice spots first, or relocate to help a failing flank etc i use my stug in much the same role they ( along with kv and kv3 ) are my main cred farmers atm, although in a good match i can easily make money with the TigerP

I'm surprised no one has linked to the new youtube video about the physics in release 7.2

Yup, I expect to see tanks scattering everywhere trying to ramp jump like skateboards.
I wonder if you can kill another tank by landing on top of it?

That didn't sound like it was going to be IN 7.2, but coming soon, in a "we haven't forgotten about it" kind of way.
