I saw something in one of the forums but can't find the reference to it now. Those benchmarks put it marginally faster than those speeds purported for the GTX 480. I say purported becasue I can't get 15k out of mine since the OPENMM units came out...

Left my 970 going @ 1.335v and 4.2ghz today, see if it holds..

OK - second 970 has arrived and its doing the EXACT same thing as the other, wapped it straight up to 4.2ghz - 1.335 v and QUTO qpi this time... Straight in 100% stable...

Have to question the CPC review of this chip as its amazing.....

Yep.......

He has said he has a 6 core xeon going cheap if anyone wants one then he is cleaned out...

This was his mail to me.. I have no idea if this is a good deal, but said I would make fellow folders aware..

Looks like ive hit the limit for 1.33v 4.2ghz...

Very happy with that though.. Now gonna strt dropping qpi and see how low I can go..

QPI dropped to 1.35 seemed OK, then lost a few units.. Upped to 1.375 and that seems fine.. All other volts normal..

This looks like the best "non extreme" overclock I can get out of these chips... Water and more volts would suggest 4.5 is pretty easy but I dont want to push these chips too hard due to costs involved if I make a mistake!
