and an overclocked gtx560 might be even better value.

it's gray area when you go into user modifications.

Possibly the card launched in the US, but not here in the UK. An hour before the Nvidia NDA we received an email from AMD saying that HD 6950 1GB pricing hadn't even been confirmed, and there was no mention of review samples from either AMD or board partners.

And as Glenster said:

So, as and when the card launches, we'll look at it. Can we move on now?

I wonder if Galaxy/KFA2 will do a single slot version...
Odd I was expexting a 69xx killer both for money and AA performance turns out this card is worth 200 and the 6850 is worth 250 memory seems to be the factor in top end cards

and I'm sure 1 of them will do a single slot but what's the point?

I'm amazed to see this card only shipping with 1GB RAM. I'm seeing video memory usage reach 925MB with Neverwinter Nights 2 (a 2007 release, but with all options maxed, transparency AA enabled and higher quality texture mods loaded) so it seems obvious to me that 2GB should be the minimum for mid/high-range GPUs.

Gainward/Palit were able to release a 460GTX with 2GB, so maybe they'll be able to do this for the 560?

Thanks for the link, and quite a surprise to see that 1GB extra has less than a £20 premium - wonder why more manufacturers aren't doing this? The one downside seems to be the rear socketry - having the old D-Sub connector as well as 2 DVIs seems likely to make it harder to (air)cool due to the reduced exhaust grill.

I would love to know this too....
Anyone know if they've got plans to do so, or any of the other VGA OEMS?

I've got a HTPC/PVR build where PCI/PCIe slots are all precious.
So I don't want my discrete GPU, taking precious PCI/PCIe slots.

Thanks to anyone that can point to an OEM with plans or whom offers a single slot 560 Ti.
