Yeah I love the holo sights. I find it easier to aim with that sight compared to all the others.

I usually run Kobra sights due to the quicker ADS on the KH2002. I recently discovered that foregrip isn't very useful unless it's in closer ranged maps where it can be paired with a suppressor.

My setup currently tends to be either foregrip + HB for it, but I find it more comfortable without foregrip instead opting for a bipod.

As for sights, the PK-A Holo is usually my choice sight unless I'm in closer quarters, then I bust out the mighty Kobra. It seems that Russians design fantastic scopes.

And agreed, the M16A3 is still one hell of a gun, just slap on Heavy Barrel or Flash suppressor with Underbarrel and you have a hell of a rifle. Although I still hate it's recoil pattern compared to other guns.

I started playing a bit of Tribes: Ascend if anyone is up for pushing their FPS action into the futuristic, jet-pack, super-fast version. It's VERY fun if you're into that sort of thing.

Nothing major dude, I'm just getting frustrated with life and getting ragey on BF3. I calmed down after our C4 Only match last week. But I do need to unplug for awhile. That or find a job. cause it's killing me day after day sitting here.

@ Achilles - I played Tribes Ascend for the first time the other day, some very good ideas and I enjoyed the fact it was very UT like, which was a massive game for me back in the day. I'll prolly join you on there at some point...

if I didn't have a girlfriend and had a passport I'd take your advice from the other ngiht and look for work outside of the UK.

I need to so I can work through some other games. I still have ME2 and The Witcher 2 FFS, not to mention the last Stalker and Uncharted, DS2 and ACII on the PS3.

I have ACII/Revelations, Fallout New Vegas+dlc. Last games i completed where Portal 1/2 and they weren't that difficult to be honest.

I used to like holo sights, but then I discovered the Kobra, it's now standard on all my guns except bolt actions.

The funny thing about the M16A3, is that all the pro teams are still running foregrip, the only thing they've changed is going from the suppressor to the HB

Is the AK used much at the moment? I remember RivaLxFactor stating it was better than the M16A3 post-patch. My experience was that it certainly was better at medium to long range, but not necessarily at close range due to its slower RoF.

I'm not happy with the way the 9K22 TUNGUSKA-M handles. Earlier on Caspian, I managed to pull off a textbook "J" turn. This should not be possible on tank tracks. It was also powersliding round corners and spinning constantly, which strikes me as rather odd. Tanks suffer slightly from this aswell, but nowhere near as bad.

I don't understand why the foregrip is necessary with the M16 since it has very little horizontal recoil to begin with. I still see just as many people using underslung or nothing as I do foregrip these days, and I couldn't tell much difference when I tried it myself. I also see just as many people using flash suppressor as I do HB, though I personally feel HB is superior.

For me the M16 w/HB is a much better all rounder. Once you get used to controlling the recoil with the HB (it's quite a bit different than when using a suppressor) it's far more reliable at close to medium range, particularly when it comes to hipfire. It seems to kill far more quickly than the AK does and it's not much worse off at longer ranges, you just need to make sure you use very short bursts and space them out more, which you would have to do with an AK at those kind of ranges anyway.
