    Hi,

After many years of looking at water cooling the pc and making a custom case the last few months parts have started showing up to get started on this build.

The case will be open air or a frame work of sorts.

Cpu and video card will be cooled by water.

Found a good deal on a pump and now was the time to give this a try. For years have tried to make the pc quite but with some video cards it just not very easy to do.

Ok it is Snowing out and the UPS man just showed up and said roads are BAD so that was all it took to make the call GOING TO STAY HOME and Build today !:dremel:

Case will have SOME spare room LOL Case is 38 Tall 26 Deep and 36 Wide

The Rad is 22 Wide by 27 Tall with out the Fittings and about 3 1/2 inches thick and looks like a 3 Pass Rad with 1 inch fittings holds ONE Gal of Coolant .

Enuff of the the Chat lets get to the ACTION !

Hope 400 10-32 .500 long socket head screws will do it.

And ya need 400 SS washers.

Rooter was the only thing handy to show size of case so far LOL

Looking to mount the DVD and HD's on this so that can make them easy to change just like a Hot Drive and it will slide on rail.

The Project Manager on this Build needs to order more parts so will be back with more on build in a Bit.

    Thanks

First of all welcome to the forums!

Secondly, are you building a garden shed of a case? That's ginormous :jawdrop: Cute dog btw, and reminded me of when I used the dog-scale as well :)

Thanks have checked this site out before but just never had a project worth posting some projects on he are just so one of a kind that makes ya wonder how many hours it took to make that work of art very nice.

Jipa yep the dog scale works very handy need to check your project out made a case out of wood one time 2 by 2 foot square oak sheet worked out ok but it just would flex to much when moving case. Here is some pic's of it http://hobbiezones.com/page95.php

Maybe when Rooter out grows his pet taxi we can use the PC case LOL If ya play a movie on the pc he will watch it have tried to get a pic of it but when things are very quite he will watch the monitor. LOL

Just Think a few weeks ago he was a Puppie and was very shy and would sleep all day now he is a POWER house with 4 wheel drive and any were he wants to go or tear apart he is all set. Here is a example of what he did with the newegg box the other day good thing it was not full of pc parts !

The Case will have a platform 12 inches off the bottom of case so when ya want to change the water block or back plate ya just reach under and change it out . Skip all that remove all wires and then remove the mobo from case to change the back plate. This will be very handy. :thumb:

Got the parts on order so hope next week to mount the mobo.

After running this water pump and no sound this is going to be a very nice project and get rid of them darn fans.

Yep it all started out with just one PC then ah many more pc's showed up now that have went to the I920 cpu was able to scale back and only have one pc now.

Getting a Great Chuckle out of how big the case is but from the scale of a few years ago to now this is DOWN SIZE in lean times.

This is the first time I've seen someone build a movable closet. It looks like you should invest in a nice KVM switch too. :D

Great pics, should be nice build.

Thanks lot of fun today reading the comments LOL :thumb:

That is sort of the plan Way down the road to make it into a RACK mount of sorts so it will have a big box on bottom with wheels and then on top maybe a box for CD's and pc parts who knows maybe someday.

Having a few questions on this RAD has anyone ever made a water cooling setup so you can drain it with out moving the pc ???

Would be so SWEET to be able to FILL and Drain the water cooling loop with out moving this MICRO pc case.

If the Rad had a Drain on bottom that would work out better but no go. Almost want to get a Car Rad that would have Drain and then we could work with it.

    Maybe something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JEGS-51921-Direct-Fit-Alum-Rad-64-66-Mustang-down-flow-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2eb3236c98QQitemZ200573938840QQptZOtherQ5fVehicleQ5fParts#ht_2298wt_939

    Any Ideas ?

    Thanks
