I have just purchased a silverstone FT03 case do you think an X850 seasonic PSU would fit inside? Has anyone got any experience with this combination?

I'm sure that psu would be fine in that case.

    Seasonic X-850 physical spec: 5.91" x 6.30" x 3.39" - source

    FT03 PSU limitation: 180mm deep - source

    180mm ~ 7in.

Assuming the last value is the height you're well within that measurement you should be fine.

I would have thought any ATX PSU would be fine.

I would question whether you could build an 850W system in the FT03.

I've also read these forums but I thought the Seasonic would be more efficient. The Seasonic appears to be very efficient from the reviews and there is not much information about the quality of the Strider online (e.g. no review from bit-tech).

Correct. I only pointed out what someone else had done with the FT03.

I would also question the need for an 850w PSU. Are you planning on two GPU's in an FT03? If so, it is going to get toasty inside.

A 660w Seasonic X Series would be perfect for a single GPU, maybe even consider a 560w, especially if building a Sandy Bridge rig.
