    Hello Guys!
After my Sandcrawler Project, I didn't stop thinking, and in 2010, I started to make my newest project.
First of all, I had to find a theme, and a name for my project.
Many years ago, me any my friends went to Italy, Bibione. I really like the company logo of the hotel, which was next to our apartements. I bring back home a advertising brochure from this hotel, and I decided to use this logo as main theme for my case.
I choose the name " Illuminated Mind". This is a songname from ATB, and i think is fits to the logo.
Ok, let's find out, what kind of case I want to bulid.
It may be little, silent, clear, and able to put an ATX motherboard into it.
I went to a second hand market, and find this old, but cute case:

As you can see, this house is so old and ugly, but after one year work, it looks like now:

Sorry guys, as you wish, here is the next part.:thumb:
After when I have this case, I started to make some sketches and plans.
-I had to put the PSU to the bottom of the case, and make a proper ventilation for that.
-I had to cut out some 12 cm fan holes on the front and the back of the case.
-I wanted to cut a window into the side panel, but want to make it, like anybody else.
-Rebuild the front panel, and replace the power button with the front usb's.

    Ok, let's get to work!

I cut out the window from the side panel, and also the top panel. As you can see, it will be one consecutive cleft.

Also made a pattern of the front:

I don't have more pictures from these processes, sorry for that:nono:

The next thing what I've done with the case, to cut out the unnecessary metal from the front:

After that, I make a template, which will hold the PSU. This plate is thicker and also stronger than the original.

    Marked, and drilled some holes:

Fixed with hex head bolts with close-head nuts.

The next step was to make hole on this template for PSU.

    Marked:

    Cutted:

    PSU fixed:

There isn't enough space for the ordinary PSU cable, I have to use an 90 degrees refracted version:

    It works:

I wanted to place a 12 cm fan into the front, but whwn I make this mod, I don't have enough metal sheet at home, so I made a temlpate for the fan from stirene sheet:

I made it from 3 layers, so it's strong enough.

    What I've done so far:

That's all for today, i hope you'll like it!

    2011.04.20 - More chassis work!

    Here's the next update
I had to do a lot of things with the chassis.

Firstly, I continued to work on the PSU template.

Cut some styrene sheets, and glued to the surface.

Template in position, behind the front panel:

    [
When it was done, I started to incorporate the front panel.

In this picture, you can see, how I want to do this:

    Ok, let's do some cut!

    Marked up the holes:

I drilled out some holes and use files:

Also drilled uot the hole for the power button. Here is the result:

I made a consol what will hold the panel, fixed to the chassis with scews and nuts:

Next thing what to do is cut out the opening for the PSU

I don't have any picture from the working process, just from the result.
I use a lint between the PSU and the open air:

After that, I made an opening for the PSU cable on the back of the case

    Marked up:

    Cut out and done:

Also, I change the feet on the case.

    Here is the original
    :

    The new one:

I need to do tihis, because the PSU's proper ventillation.

The last thing what I've done to make the proper opening for the rear fan.
It used to be the plcace of the PSU:

    2011.05.20 - Engraving ad lightning

Ok, here is the next update!
After the rough cuts, I turned my attention to the precision work: started to engraving the symbole into the plexy. The first step was to cut out this circle:

This piece used to be a part of my previous ExtremeEngine3T case. That was the cover of the huge side fan.

When it was done, I print out the symbole adt started to engrave it into the material. For this operation, I used my old trusty Ferm multitool:

Then I finish this, I painted the engraved side into black, and remove the dried paint from the gaps:

    View from the opposite side:

So, after this case I start to solder some LEDs together:

    Wow, it works fine:clap: :

Those LEDs light are diturbed me, so I made a cover panel from styrol sheets, to hide them:

Finaly, painted the frame into orange, glued the plexy into the frame.

The next step was to fix the frame to the side panel. Drill four holes into the panel, and fixed the panels with bolts:

Tádáááá, here is the result:clap: :

    So, what do you think?

2011.06.01 - VGA and PSU coverplate and painting

In this update I 'll show you how I made the coverplate for the VGA and the PSU, and how I paint the chassis.
I have a simple PSU with a lot of cables. I wanted to hide them with coverplate, because I realized my case is so crowded without it.
I made this plate from PVC and styrene sheets.

    Paint it into black:

As you can see I put some LEDs into the cover's gap, but finally, I don't use them.

I fixed this cover to the PCI slot:

You can see, how it looks, when I moved my hardware into the new case:

The next thing what I've done is the VGA cover. I made it from plexy and styrene:

I bought a led strips for the lightning:

Finally I also paited this item into black:

Before I started to paint the chassis, I must cut ot some unneccesary part from it. The part it this little aluminium item. This hole help me to the cable management:

I made a little coverplate to hide those unused holes:

I must take those holes away ont the back, so I glued an alu plate to the inner side and use some filler in the outer side:

When everything was done, I started to prepare the chassis to the paint:

    AAAAaaaad here is the result:

That's all for today, I hope someone read it and tell me the his/her opinion from my work.

Remove the old spiral from the cables:

I use cable tubes for sleeving:

Cut the SATA power cable to the proper lenght:

    20 pins ATX cable:

Result of my work. There is two branch of cables I wont use, the will hide under the cover plate:

And, here is my cool vandal resistant switch in position:

Then, I painted the front cover into orange, the sidecovers into white, and also made my unique bay cover:

The fan contoller will be modified soon;)

I made a "linghning panel" from plexy, with LEDS:

    When it works:

After that, I paint the top-and side panels into white, and put the plexy window into it.
You will see the result in the following pictures:

Pictures from the internal, with the rig:

Unfortunately, this is not the final update, I had some serious problem with the front cover, I really want to show you how I fixed it, and i have some really nice pictures from the completed case, so stay tuned!

    Bye:hehe:

    12.07.2011 Final pictures

Ok guys, this is the last update from this case. This time I'll show the last things what I' ve solved on the case, but before that, I read the news:

This case is also nominated to the MOTM competition!

I never thought that happens with me, so big thanks for that!

OK, let's go back to the last tasks, like color of the PSU's rear mesh, the error of the front plate and the plexy on the top.

I tried to fix the front panels errors. The paintjob isn't be good enough.
I have used some masking tape, but it was too strong and the orange paint were follow the tape:wallbash:

The repaint was too complicated because the lightning plate, so i made a decision: rebuild the front panel:

I trowed away the old pattern and make a brand new from 1 mm thick styrene plate, and engrave a new lightning plate. Many problems are slow down my work. The biggest problem was the primes paint. It blistered up:wallbash: Finally, after a lot of sanding and a new primer this problem was solved:clap:

Sanded down the panel as much as I can. Ready to the primer:

    Problem with the primer:

When it solved, glued up the pattern, paint the front panel into orange..again, and put the lighning plate into it's position. After that, I put some rounded mesh into th panel. The result will be on the final pictures:p

Than I painted my PSU's mesh into black. I was old school, I used acrylic paint and brush:p :

The last think what I' ve done is make the top panel's plexy. The pictures will tell the story:
