No great loss. Jade Empire was the worst Bioware release to date.

Jade empire wasn't a great game, but was a enjoyable one. The fightings were good despise what the reviwers say. The problem is that the game was bugged as heck, and because of poor sales, bioware never cared to fix it.

As for myself, I am not crying for the "axe" in the franchise (just learned that term this week).

Wasn't a great game by any means. Still finished it though. Wasn't THAT bad.

I enjoyed it, but that's mostly because of the setting. I think they could make a sequel that would do it justice.

This from the people who gave both Cataclysm and Shift 2 9/10. Needless to say, I don't come to bit tech for their game reviews.

Are you people nuts?!? Jade empire was amazing! It had a great story, fully voice acted cut scenes, and awesome wu-shu style martial arts. There were defiantly areas to improve, but all in all it was great. Simply make the hero a talking one (like in mass effect) and lengthen the game a bit (it was quite short, after all). One of the things I liked the most was that it was a Chinese Martial Arts RPG, with no Japanese bleed over (I can't stand it when people cram the two genres together). It didn't get the publicity it deserved because it came out around the same time as KOTOR 1 and 2 (which were also great). A revisit to the world of Jade Empire is definitely in order.

It's like this. If a game is fun to play that's great. And for the most part it was. But to me a great game can be replayed again and again. Jade Empire is not one of those games. It was a 1 play game. Bit like the fugly girl you pulled when you were drunk, it was fun at the time but you can't bring yourself to go back again.

the graphics are great. the storyline good. the music is great. the combat is better than a lot game. I think that the people who say that jade empire was a bad game; are wrong.

This game is what made bioware good as well as kotor, they should make a seconed one. Jade empire was the best rpg back then.

It still toppes off as one of the only epic martial arts rpg out there, and its now one of the great classics like kotor that should be remade and continued. Not locked up in some vault wating to be destroyed and attacked by people who didnt care for the game because it wasnt what they wanted.

Yes it had bugs, yes the story and endings were amazing and had a great soundtrack. Thats what made this game so popular and vived. It can be done. Any money if there is a jade empire 2 it will be a 9 out of 10.
