Not sure if my Q6700 + 8800GTX would make much of a dent, but I guess every little helps.

I've joined the team (as elepedus) and set up the SMP client on my i5-760. All four cores are ticking along at 100%.

I would like to get my HD5770 folding too, but I think I will need some advice as I downloaded the gpu2 console client and the latest drivers from AMD, but it says that my gpu is not supported.

I don't think my single core Revo will make any dent at all.....

    My q6600 + gtx260 is without PSU :(

Thanks for joining in. It's been a while since I folded on an AMD card, but iirc the GPU3 console client will run better on your card.

This is the client for the CPU here:

    http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther

Its the "Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 SMP2 client console version" client you want for it.

Also this was posted by Lizard earlier in another thread:

    http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=167138&page=4

That will get the CPU doing bigadv, need to have it running 24x7 to get the points. If you don't have the PC on 24x7, remove the -bigadv flag and put in -advmethods instead.

For the GPUs, follow this guide:

    http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinGPUGuide#ntoc4

The link for the GPU3 client you need is the first I posted, you want the following version: "Windows XP/2003/Vista/7 GPU3 (required for Fermi) no-nonsense console client."

Also, its worth getting fahmon to keep an eye on the clients progress and PPD:

My MPI seems to be working so you now have 24 opteron cores and one gtx275. (luckily i am not responsible for powering the 6 opterons)

Yes, GPU3 is the best client for AMD cards.

Well.. got the gpu working (using gpu3 client -thanks), but its only doing 1% every half an hour, and for some reason my cpu client doesn't seem to register the right username (fahmon says it's anonymous :( )

That sounds far too slow for a 5770. What does Fahmon say the ppd is? It should be around 2,500 if its working correctly.

For the CPU, if you're running the console client, close it, then run it again from the command line with the following added to the end:

    -config

This will then make it enter config mode, where you can set all sorts of parameters, including the username and team number. The former should be CustomBitChimps (character sensitive) and the latter should be 35947.
