Very useful cheers - I was late paying this month so was worried I might have lost my cover. This has put my mind at rest.

I did check with my insurance company to make sure, but it's still good to know.

Is this the one that the Police use?

Yes the police use the (MIB) Motor Insurance Database, which is what this site uses.

Its good to know, that although you have insurance, that the insurance company has put your car on it.

Aye, companies are allowed 10 days grace to get your car on the MID - I do it for where I work for our vehicles as our insurers are seemingly too bone idle to do it.
