Food & Drink Generating more custom for pub

Hi

I work in a local pub which is struggling to say the least everyone can see it except the owner who won't listen. Anyway he is off on holiday for 2 weeks soon and I am in charge so I want to make it more of a success then hopefully he will listen to my ideas.

I can't set prices, change stock or anything so is there anything I can do to generate more interest.


Thoughts so far is to create a fb page for the pub, we also have a help the heroes singer this weekend which I think could draw some people in.

I am afraid I don't have the power to change the pubs layout, style, staff or the drink prices but I have listened to your suggestions and will use them one day if I ever get my own pub.

Right as its a sleepy village pub I have managed to on my head be it secure a keg from a brewery 2 miles down the road. We have also cleaned the lines and put 3 hand pulls on the bar.

Also hoping to do a quiz next weekend, we have decided its a £1 entry and all entry fees go to the help the heroes charity. The winners and the team with the best name gets a free round of drinks, and we will provide something like a big pasta dish for all those who enter.

Very busy atm as you can imagine so will report back how everything goes.
