Demo of Forza 4 was released onto live this afternoon.

Anyone tried it yet?
I added to my download que, but will give it a play later on.

Apparently its boring.

I pre-ordered it yesterday. Don't think I can be bothered to download the demo, besides, I need to get my gold sub first.

Yeah, there is not much to the demo - it does look very nice though. It's the new Swiss track and you get to drive a 1970 Cougar Eliminator a 2011 Subaru WRXWRXWWRSRXRWR and a 2010 Fezza 458. Won with each one first time of asking using the MS Wheel.

Keeping my pre-order though as a bunch of us have played Forza since the beginning and it's great fun!

I have GT5 and no Xbox. I'd play it because the system is much more fun than GT5, but I have no 360.

I've certainly spent more time on Forza 3 than GT5.

Although, I have just started on GT5 again on the seasonal events, and am enjoying it again.

Can't download it, Xbox Live Gold only - too tight for that.

Sod it, I'll download the Fifa 12 demo instead. I've spent so much time playing Forza 3, I really can't see how Forza 4 could be greatly improved on what is already a great game - especially with all the car DLCs...

Let me know what you lot think!

The customization in Forza3 is alot better than GT5

Let us know what you think when you get playing it

I think they've somehow managed to make it look better graphics wise.

16 player multiplayer too, instead of FM3's limit of 8.

The graphics are a lot better this time round (the in-car view of the demo cars is especially good) - definitely rivals GT5 in that respect. It feels like a better drive that Forza 3 too. With the wheel there doesn't seem to be much in the way of 'rumble' although in the demo you can't change any of the controller options, so I hope you can play about with this in the full game.

There is no car setup in the demo, so can't comment on that - although I was rubbish at that on Forza 3 anyway!

Turning simulation steering on improves lap times (improves turn in, the cars in the demo understeer massively... untuned, that is) but makes overstepping the limits a very unwise proposition.

The sounds are fantastic.

The Zonda is a pleasure to drive.

I'm really waiting for the full game to turn up so I can config my controller properly. I don't like shifting with X and B, and clutch shouldn't be LB for sure.

A lot of elements look interesting but i think i'm the only person who hated FM3 and much much preferred FM2. 3 was just bland to be honest and had no real structure to progressing through the races. The artwork side was vastly superior though and this will probably expand on that again which is nice and the handling has always been great.

I only hope they put the achievements back to being actual achievements and not the 'Get a car to level 5' or 'Reach driver level 20' rubbish which you will do regardless of how you play it. They're not achievements! On FM2 you had the one to win with ALL assists turned off, manual gears, etc. etc. That was a real achievement when you dont have a wheel.

Downloading now, should be good. Don't think I'll be buying this calendar year, too many other games to finish first so I'll get it when it's cheap.

If they just copy the tuning straight from 3 it'll be plenty good enough.
Not really much else you could add, apart from possibly giving more range and precision on the adjustments, and making adjustments to each corner individually.

There is no multiplayer as such, but you can race against your Xbox live buddies ghost car in a kind of a challenge mode. If you are all online together then this is quite good fun.

We will have to wait until next week for full 16 player stock car racing!!!

As long as there is a simple option! I can operate a motor vehicle and understand the theory of the internal combustion engine, but as far as anything else is concerned I am clueless!

Apparently you can form 'clubs' and can borrow cars from the club that someone else has tuned - sounds like a good idea to me exepcially as some of my mates are much better at tuning than me!

With FM4 being scheduled for release in 5 days, I doubt I'll bother with the demo.
Besides IIRC, the demo is only available on the 7th for non-gold members.

the game is a must-buy for me, though. FM2 and FM3 swallowed more of my time than is healthy.

Re: no Porsche - I am not spun by that at all. I don't much like Porsches in real life, so never bother with them in the games unless I have to.
Re: Achievements - It would be cool if they had proper achievments, but fat chance...
