thx a lot m8´s!!!

today it´s time for an update again

In the last days we spent the most of our time with fibre glass matt and epoxy resin it´s always a big mess...but we made good progress while laminating the first layers of fibre glass to the body and sidepanels...

beside that we finished the polishing of the plexiglas lense and tested it on the other of the eye....

thx m8´s!!

today i´ve got another update for you

in the last days we spent the most of our time with the next steps of the laminating process, but beside that we also made some progress on the electronics which will be involved...

For the voice of our Sentry we want to use an arduino together with a music shield and a few sensors. We already have a spare arduino in our workspace...so the next thing we needed was a cheap motion sensor to test if it could work like we thought. After a short research we found out that we could salvage one out of those automatic air refreshing room sprays which you can get for 3€ (the same sensor in an electronic shop near to us, cost 10€ )
So we get one of those sprays and disassembled everything so that we could test the sensor with the arduino....

That lense obviously needs red LEDs in them! Sweet work so far: your turret will be filled with more then bullets

Sure!!! thats one of the most important features we want to integrate (beside the laser pointer eye and the side panels)....atm we´re already tinkering on a solution based on a arduino shield....but that will follow later....

thanks m8´s!!

in the past 2 weeks we spent a lot of time in the progress of the legs....but now we´re really near to complete the outer shape

and here are a few pics of the progress we made....

we started with 2 layers of plywood and between them 3-4 layer fibre glass material

and then we added foam, just to gain a bit more size to work with....

beside that we started to overwork the dimensions of the gaps between the sidepanels and the main body.....

I remember wondering why nobody had done this before Although I was thinking if I should try to modify a webcam to look like a miniature turret...

Looking good, should be awesome when finished!
