I have played and thoroughly enjoyed ME1 and ME2 and good to see they are bringing back grenades in ME3 as they were sorely missed in ME2. I had hoped ME3 might be with us for the end of the year but I guess I will have to wait until March next year.

Any more news on the movie? Guess that won't be with us for at least another year...

Guys, how does it compare to ME and ME2? Combat, items/armour/weapons. Is it basically ME2, but with a few changes?

Since the games have been written as a trilogy right from the start (compared to sequels being written separately, just because the first game did well), you'd miss so much if you tried to play ME3 without playing the first two beforehand. There's also a couple of books which help flesh out some of the universe a bit, and these aren't a bad read - but not required reading.

Hahaha, I've been wanting to play for ages, but I have a massive queue of games on my Steam account. I've been playing just BF3 recently and I haven't touched any other game since it's release.

Ok, looks like I am definitely going to have to play the first 2. It's just BF3 that's stopping me. It's too addictive, hahaha.

    "the new time-dilation ability"

Joe, time-dilation was the Soldier's class ability in ME2, so it's not new in ME3, unless it's now available to all classes.

Why would Cerberus be on the side of the reapers again? Dont the reapers desire the destruction of all life in the galaxy? I suppose you can't spend the entire game shooting space ships the size of cities but it would be nice if there were some logical reason for Cerberus to work for the reapers (i.e. it didnt result in their destruction).

It's like in Dead Space where they had a sect that wanted the necromorphs to take over the universe and kill everybody..... why?

I hope there is much more sex in this one, that is an important part of life.

Yes. Maybe their missing out on an opportunity for a "startlingly new" gameplay feature that Joe was so disappointed he didn't encounter - Some kind of rhythm based mini game for interactive sex sequences...

Infact... that's what the kinect integration could be used for!! Brilliant. Bioware, hire me.

Let's hope ME3 isn't the hideous console-port that ME2 was.......After a brilliant run with Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect, Bioware really lost their way with Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2 imo.

I couldn't even bring myself to finish ME2 it was so badly put together on PC....despite being so pleased with ME1.
