You really do have lots of time to burn don't you! Nice work though, I'll watch this with interest.

Why? :s
Whole advantage of a prebuilt sealed loop is to not have a res

Bit of fun, shave off a few degrees - isn't that the point of tinkering with PCs anyway?

right after initial testing idle temp is down to 27c from 32c. stressed temp is 50c down from 63c. so yes it has dropped the temps a bit. but as im going fully watercooled i thought what the heck chop it up. used the original fluid that was in the corsairr loop along with distilled water. with the loop and res i estimate twice the fluid was used.

Would you be able to tell me which port out of the waterblock is the in port and which is the out port. I'm going to do this mod to add liquid cooling to a video card block and I'm wondering which is the input and output of the pump on the cpu block.

Oh wow how didn't I think of this! I drained my H100 not so long ago and been wondering how on earth do I get it filled back up again
Adding a small res should sort it, and while I'm at it some custom length hoses wouldn't hurt, either.

Interesting.
My res is 500mm heatsink choob from XSPC. A monster that sits vertically by window next to radiator. |

Haha you've given me a crazy idea... Instead of RMA'ing my h60 make a cycling reservoir of mayham particulate fluid external to my case on my desk
just for fun haha*maybe*

Can you please be more specific on which is the input and which is the output barb on the heatsink. Perhaps edit a picture showing the flow pattern. I'm going to do a ridiculously small form factor case liquid cooling mod with this unit tomorrow. I'll post some pics after I'm done.

Wow thats pretty cool, Jizzwizard(love the name and DP by the way) do you know whether the pump is attached to the radiator or the CPU socket?

Check out my completed mod. I'm going to change two things next week that being the drain port from the current barb to the matching black ones I used and the fill port I'm going to do 1/2" Barb and tube to a 1/2 to 1/4 90degree elbow.
