Browser: Firefox
Firewall/AV: Kaspersky Insternet Security. I'd much rather pay £8 a year than maybe let something slip through.

I've never heard of zone alarm but it sounds more like a secret agent's worst nightmare rather than a firewall lol

Zone alarm is old school! It used to be good, but now its not so good. I have hardware firewall, and microsoft SE on my personal stuff, on my work stuff I have trend. Firefox is my browser of choice.

I would rather not pay £8 a year, and still not let anything slip through :P

I have tried a whole bunch of free firewalls but I find the built in Windows one is the only one that isn't annoying and resource intensive.

Not had a problem at all yet on this setup, infact my entire computing life, I've only had one major virus, which I still managed to get rid off, and one or two near misses.

When you say internet security what are we talking abut here?

i use Firefox and Kaspersky internet security which i pay like 30 pound for a year also malewarebytes ad blocker plus ghostery and a far to large host file and some common sense and Open Dns.

Also if you got the ram for it recommend P2V (physical to virtual) your current machine and run it as a VM with snap shots any thing goes wrong virues etc roll back.Real machine unafected.
