Poker kit is not worth it in my opinion. You can get assembled Poker for like $85. Sure the aluminum body, but you can get that separate also and still come out lower without having to do any work... Don't forget cost of switches+keycaps, or if really lucky a suitable Cherry G80 donor board for less, to that $175. Even more if you want 2 full Poker out of that kit since you still need 2nd body on top of the rest.
If you're wanting a kit board OTD, KBDMania is where it's at.

I'm only after 1 PCB since I'll have a spare case in a week, and I'm tempted to try out a full board of greens/light greys just for the sake of it, the board would just be one I could play around with.

With my current Poker with blues going into my alu case when it arrives.

True... but at least some those are actual customs, which have layouts that you can't buy anywhere else. That gives a more justifiable reason to the price premium in my eye.
But then, I am little biased against Poker kit as I already have 2 Poker anyway.

Greens are pretty strong, but grey is even more. You really want 80g board? Seems a little much of a work out.

I thought the same thing, it's still pretty expensive. Keycaps would be at least $50 (new ABS engraved) and switches would be around $50 (depending on switch OFC). So all in all, $275 for a keyboard that you have to assemble yourself. You could just, like you said, buy a Poker for $85 and a alum case for $120 (last time I check) and have a complete keyboard for $205. So is it worth the extra $70 for an extra PCB and the switch type of your choosing (which I think is the main selling point, adding a non-vanilla switch like greens or grays).



However, if I could get the PCB and make it a long term project (save pocket change until you have enough for switches, save again until you can buy keycaps....). Then I think it would be worth it, but as is, there's no way

Even the Pure that COMES with alu case is going to be less... and assembled of course. Like, I could buy a Pure, swap the case of my Poker and sell the Pure in plastic Poker case and pay less... and make some money back, it's nuts.

Mm, I'm not decided yet, as I said, would only be a board I could play about with, hence why I only want the PCB and whichever switches.

Do have my eyes on a Pure with orange LEDs though. Would cost around £90 though, not sure if I can fork out for it until I've sold some of the spare stuff I've already got.

They're being made by Signature plastics, so I presumed they would be shipped from the states.

You know you want a set. They replace your control/alt/window keys etc, anything thats size 1.25.
