I really couldn't of said it better. Especially the iPad. I was in hmv messing around with the tablets and the Motorola one was cheap plastic, the screen is awful compared to the iPad 3, very slow and the same price as the iPad.

I don't understand how it's so had for other companies to create something as beautiful and with the high quality as Apple products.

This is one of those arguments that can't be resolved. And does seem to always end with some sort of slew of insults and intervention from a moderator.

On the plus side for bit-tech though, people are always googling Apple vs windows or pc vs mac, so we're doing our bit.

Whenever you by any product you should consider the company as well as the product.

Does it matter that Apple cracks down on any other company with an I in it's name? does it matter that they claim high ethical standards but only make reports without any actual action taken ? These are the reason for me not using apple products, I can understand that this does not matter to all, but it should be in the consideration at as many purchases possible. And while I do like a lot of the products and innovations they have/do make I cannot get myself to actively support them as long as I have a choice.

Same reason I go for Pepsi in stead of coca cola

One very last thing before the thread possibly gets locked.
My biggest complaint about Apple's mobile products is expansion.

Namely, the "dock connector". I understand the "simplicity" part of things, but there comes a point where you get so "simple" that "functional" is near impossible.

"But it's universal!"


Try hooking up your iPod Video video out cord or 1394 cable to your iPod Touch. Nope. Neither work.
Even with the same physical (proprietary!) connector, Apple is changing its own standards!
