Xbox 360

How do I make my Xbox 360 wireless using a wireless network and a router instead of the expensive Xbox adapter?
I have an Xbox 360 and wireless internet in my building. I do have a Linksys braodband router to use to make my Xbox wireless instead of buying the expensive Xbox wireless adapter. Any help please. Thank you!!

The only way i can think of is some sort of device that runs off the wireless but acts like another router?

Like using internet connection sharing on a laptop with Wifi then pluggin xbox into the LAN of the laptop

Wifi > Laptop > Xbox?

Im not sure if a device exists tho.

You can create a Bridged Wireless/LAN connection on a laptop which will allow the Xbox to connect to the internet.

You don't need anything fancy to do this just a Network cable and a laptop.

Go to Control Panel>Network & Internet>Network Connections. You will see two or more Network Connections. A Wireless Connection and a LAN Connection. Assuming you are connected to the internet one will be active and the other wont.

Highlight the LAN and Wireless Connections. And Right click on either one of them. There in the list it should says Bridge Connections This digitally connects Wireless & LAN Connections.

Now using the Network cable plug it in to your Laptop LAN and XBOX LAN Ports. I know it took some fiddling with settings. Even maybe inputting the settings manually. But I did do it once.

I have given you what i think you need to do this, but there is an issue in that the laptop shares the network connection and will take priority over it so whilst this works in theory it may not be the best way to get a Network Connection to your XBOX.

Something like this will do the job - far cheaper than the official Xbox version.
