Nvidia GT 610, 620 and 630 on scan

http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-...1037/1038/1039

So here are the low end parts, hopefully they'll fill in the middle of the range soon!

I'll be interested in seeing whether these are actually reworked or just rebadged 520's. I sell a lot of basic video cards to my clients.

4GB of RAM on a 630 but they cant f#$!&#! deliver a solid 4GB 670 with aftermarket cooling and 680 PCB that is so sought after... urgh... frustrating.

After looking them over, 96 cores on the 620/630... not too bad for a budget card actually.

680 & 670's don't need 4GB...

Funny you should say that... at 5160x1200+1920x1080 I've gotten mixed reviews on whether 4GB will be necessary with 670 SLI. With quite a few of the charts I've seen showing today's games holding steady at the 2GB mark, I just can't bring myself to grab a card without room for expansion. I tend to keep my cards for ~4 years so I am looking for a set of cards for the long term.

Probably just rebadged 5xx series cards unfortunately.

The reason is simple - 4GB cheap GDDR3 or DDR3 vs 4GB of expensive GDDR5.

That 610 card is literally just the GT210 (Google image it.), 620 looks like much the same...

630 might just be a new GPU, might not be as godawful as the 10 & 20.

Yea, but 4GB of cheap GDDR3 on a card that will never, ever, use it, or 4GB on a card that people are likely to run NVIDIA Surround on with massive resolutions.

The 610 is almost definitely a rebadged 520, but both the 610 and 520 have 48 cores compared to the 210's 16. The 620 and 630 look to be a new 96 core GPU... not too bad for a basic graphics card. Actually, I just looked up the 430, it had 96 cores as well... probably got a new 6xx series badge then.

You know that, i know that, we know that - but the typical buyer don't know that. He sees 4GB on graphics card, that must be supercool.

I really hope these are not just rebadged cards. Though they do seem to be claiming that they're 28nm, so maybe at least they've had a die shrink.

There is a version of the GT630 that has 196 cores and I believe it is Kepler-based. However, it is OEM only at the moment as far as I am aware.

EDIT: I must correct myself. The kepler-based GT 630 (OEM) has 384 cores

Huh? That listing is utterly confusing. 3 vastly different GT 640s?...

Wow... I just looked it up and that list looks correct... wtf NVIDIA? I understand that rebadging moves products, but it looks like they just said "we're too lazy to have lots of part numbers, we'll just call all the cards the same thing".

So I can buy a GT 630 with 96 cores at 810MHz, or I could buy at GT 630 with 192 cores at 875MHz.... those are equivalent right?

Looks as though this has been done just to confuse people buying ready built machines. I don't know how they can explain a 630 being faster than a 640 from the off!

Probably going to be GT640 Ti, GT640, GT640SE. How is that different to GTX 560Ti, GTX 560, GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 core and GTX 560 SE ?
