Yes, but it's to be released simultaneously on consoles.

Thus it will be a console port.

Thus it will be awful beyond the power of language to describe.

I'm all for complaining about console ports but... it's Counter Strike.

CS:GO is basically a professionally made mod of CS:S, a game which has been on PC for almost a decade. Why would Valve take their established PC game, port it to consoles, then port it back to PC? Simple answer, they wouldn't. The console version is actually the port in this case.

Seriously... look at the expression on my face... Do I look like I care when CS:Go is being released?

And why would I want to fondle mac users online?

I don't see the appeal, it's just CS:S with better graphics and some new weapons.

I hope this isn't what gabe was talking about when he said they were releasing something 3 at E3, as technically, I suppose this is CS 3 (CS 1.6 = 1, CS:S = 2, CS:GO = 3).

You forgot Counter Strike: Condition Zero. Which is basically what this GO is for Source. At least it's $15, this would be a must buy on consoles as there are no other shooter similar shooter experiences on the consoles.

Been playing the beta for a few days. It is hard to describe the difference in feeling.. It feels faster than CS:S. Slightly like TF2 but it still has the precision of CS. I will play a game of CS:S to remind me how that feels when I get the chance.

I Also have a spare invite I am yet to gift.

I wont get to try it.

I got a vac ban a few years ago - rightly, I dont whine and never contested it, I was using a glitch in TF2 to unlock all the stuff.

The bans however carry over to all new VAC protected games. Silly really, something you do that's a bit childish years ago, ruins multiple games for you forever more. Valve should really look at this policy.

Valve striving for records... with DNF on the table, perhaps they want to break the record for time spent in development...

Why don't you use a second account for those new VACed games?

Everytime Valve announces something people ask "Yes, but where is Half Life 3?" I don't read rumours and don't search Valve`s statements so it is just plain guess, but the first thought that comes to my mind when reading such comment is simply that since Valve develops multiplatform now there can`t be any HL3 until new generation of consoles get`s to market. HL3 has to have not only great gameplay, but also has to push forward technological bundaries to stand a chance against massive expectations of fans and hype of media. Can`t it be that way? People are still asking about it but nobody seems to mention this. I can be totaly wrong of course. As I said, I am not watching it closely at all.

They changed this around 4 years ago when L4D came out.

Now you are only banned from the individual game you cheated in.

Plus, it banned by game engine before that, there never was a global ban on all VAC games.

So if you're banned from cheating in TF2, you can't play on VAC secured servers in CS:S, HL2: DM, DoD:S, and TF2, that's it.
