presumably because it hasn't heard of Google Chrome OS
HAHA. So true. Still its quite an interesting feature. Not quite as revolutionary as shuttleworth thinks though.

no other OS has come close to this level of integration between web and desktop' - presumably because it hasn't heard of Google Chrome OS, which is an entire operating system built around exactly that concept.
Classic. Excellent use of sarcasm!

They've added web shortcuts to their menu. Which isn't really new you can just create launchers with the "gnome-open http://www.google.com" command. It does have nicer icons I suppose. Social media widgets are hardly revolutionary either. The integration of last fm is cool though, But what happens if you use grooveshark, or youtube or some other media website...

fluxtatic has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
It's not the revolution Mark Shuttleworth is trying to sell, true. On the other hand, with this you've got an honest-to-god OS, whereas with ChromeOS you've got some watered-down BS that isn't really an OS at all.
