    Not bad at all. Clearly designed with air cooling power in mind, unlike the FT03 which was designed primarily for looks. Price is unusually low for a SS case as well, it's not often that they manage to come in at under £100 :p

    A properly tiny mATX case. Very nice.

    Does the roof-mounted fan provide any cooling for the HDDs? I can see the overlap, but it looks like it's blanked off. It looks like a tidy solution, but mounting mechanical drives directly behind the CPU area is a toasty proposition.

    I'd love to know what happens if you plug that hard drive in... That's a big warning on the top of it!

    As we don't do drive thermal testing, it's hard to say for sure but you're right that there is a slight overlap. SS actually recommend avoiding the use of HDDs altogether, although that's mainly just to reduce cable clutter.

    No-one who has has lived to tell the tale...

    Very compact mATX case .... but Silverstone should do something for the front panel, which is really fugly :D. It looks more like a power surge than a computer :lol:

    Haha I was thinking the same thing. The SUGO8 is a thing of beauty and this thing looks like a bag of ass! A whole bag full of ass.

    I still have a (eye wateringly expensive) htpc setup with the sugo8 sitting in my scan basket. Haven't had the courage (or lag of sense) to pull the trigger yet.

    Yet I want to everyday...

    It's very possible that it might. After all, the SG08 was basically the SG07 underneath but it had that lovely new aluminium front panel.

    Took delivery of this case on Monday, together with a Silverstone Strider 600W PSU, short cable set,
    Sony slot-load bluray burner and appropriate adaptor cable (Silverstone CP10).

    The CP10 cable comes with a large Molex plug on the power leads, but is just long enough to reach the PSU
    sockets without being stretched.

    So I've cannibalized one of the long cables I won't be using for its sleeving & 6-pin plug.

    Do agree it looks a lot like a UPS, the TJ08-E is a better looker for sure.

    Am I the only one that would like to use that giant hole in the front to blow air onto the cooler, BTX Style?
    I mean, instead of blocking it with a PSU ;-)
    Also, why do the side and top have dustfilters, but not the gigantic front hole?

    I still have a trusty SG01... it looks a lot better than this but back then they didn't even seem that bothered about cooling!

    Looks ugly as tbh but with some modding the actual chassis could be a good looking case.
