Corsair 600T 360 Mod

Hi all,

So this was done last year, thought I'd share my "OCD" project log with you pros!

I saw some mods on the 600T allowing for 360 rad to be used, so I decided I want to go that route, I then got bored of the UV green & blue theme I had and was inspired by Ronsanut's black and white build so decided to change over.

Specs of my rig (Old Blue & Black Theme):

Corsair Graphite Series 600T Black with Window
Intel Core i7 3770k
Gigabyte Z77 UD5H
PNY nVidia GTX680 XLR8
G.Skill ARES 1866 DDR3 RAM
Corsair HX750 with Corsair OEM blue braided set
OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD
XSPC EX360Rad
Alphacool VPP655 with Pump Top
XSPC Raystorm CPU Block
EK Multioption 150ml Res
Primochill FlexRT UV Green Tubing
I&H dead drops + KillCoils
Bitspower fittings
Mayhems UV Green Dye
2x UV cathodes
BitFenix 200mm SpectreLED Blue intake
Custom - Gelid Wings look alike exhaust
CM Sickleflow 3x for rad

Specs of my rig (Current Black & White Theme):

Corsair Graphite Series 600T Black with Window
ASRock Z77 Extreme 6
Intel Core i7 3770k
EVGA GTX680 SC Signature
Corsair Dominator GT 1866
OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD
Corsair AX750 with Bitfenix braided extensions (HX750 developed coil whine and was replaced by supplier)
BlackIce Stealth GT360 (Had a clearance issue with the new mobo's MOSFET sink and the EX360)
Alphacool VPP655 with Pump Top
XSPC Raystorm CPU Block
EK Multioption 150ml Res
Primochill FlexRT white tubing
Mayhem's Pastel Ice white concentrate
Custom white LED sleeved strip lighting
Customized Corsair 200mm fan
Swiftech Helix 120mm 1800rpm fans for rad and exhaust.

Anyhow, think that's about it for the parts list, no with the project log:

Started off by removing the top cover and by removing the plastic in the middle section:

I was initially going to go with an all UV blue look, but changed my mind at the last minute, so having ordered 4x UV blue Gelid wings, I sold them and did an el cheapo mod of a 120mm Coolermaster fan:

The el'cheapo:

versus the read deal:

I received some of my goodies from Performance-PCs and started prepping the case for some dremel loving:

Cleaned everything off nicely and made sure everything fitted nicely, and a few days later my next parts arrived from PPC:

I then started assembling:

Connected the tubing and everything up and hid my killcoils out of sight:

Testing the UV:

Leak tested overnight and then finished up the rest:

So was running this setup like this for a good couple of months and then, as stated in my first post, grew tired of the UV and was looking for a cleaner looking black and white build after seeing some nice ones out there.

So I sold off some parts and ordered new ones, and started with operation OCD Black & White:

Ripping out old parts:

New parts - (Was using Corsair Vengeance 1300 headset - OCD wants all the same brands, so gave the 1300s to the wife and bought me some carcharias'):

Assembled like this for a while as I was still waiting for the other parts to arrive from PPC:

New bits finally arrived from PPC:

Testing the effect with the white braided cables:

Some more shots:

I then took the black 200mm corsair fan apart to start prepping and spraying to match the theme:

Made some custom LED light strips with sleeving and black connectors:

Testing the ligthing effect:

Installed the EVGA GTX680 backplate:

Bitspower goodies:

So at this stage I thought the motherboard was faulty as I got this bad coil whine, so I started the RMA procedure for the board, and as I had everything apart and tested again, I noticed it was the PSU, so I had the HX750 replaced and paid in a bit to get a nice AX750 instead - fits the build better anyhow:

So started finishing up the loop:

Quick Sleeving on I/O connectors:

Filled up, ready to leak test:

New layout with 45 dual rotary connections:

Also modded some presleeved LEDs I ordered from PPC to fit the CPU block:

And finally done - Final shots:

Definitely not a CRAZY project like most other mods on here, but I wanted to share with you guys none the less.

Actually have a new plan brewing... want to get the new NZXT Phantom 630 once it's available in South-Africa and then mod the side window, get push-pull going on my 360 rad, add a 240rad and GPU block for the GTX680 - So will possibly be doing another project log soon.

Thanks for looking, hope you like.

Thanks! Like I said, very simple in bit-tech standards, but still thought I'd share my pride and joy with you guys.

Will attempt something bit-tech worthy in the future tho.

Simple does not mean any less beautiful. As they say, less is more.
