Docodine is right alot of improvements have been made in games like BF3 with recently drivers.

However as I said before its been a long time coming and for that time they were WAY behind.

According to Anandtechs GPU bench, it suggests the 7950 isn't that great, in some case the 670 is a better performer, especially in BF3

However, I can't see which drivers they've used to test so not sure how accurate/old those results are.

Buy the one you want to have in your 'puter, that's my motto.

One thing I will say is that having moved from a 670 (at 680 speeds) to a 560Ti 448 (at 570 speeds) for financial reasons, I've barely noticed the difference at 1080p. Now I'm a more casual gamer than many on here, but the point remains valid.

I will probably upgrade again when I can no longer tolerate the performance, but at this res I've actually realised that owning a card £150 more expensive than I needed was a bit silly really. OK, so I can't completely max out Metro or BF3 now, but a couple of games aren't really worth the additional outlay just to switch on the last layer of eye-candy. Not at the moment anyway.

I'll wait and see how good the next gen cards from red and green look and then make my decision.

Far Cry 3 is running sweet as a nut though

deant94 has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
Buy the 670. For the extra money it will be worth it. I saved up the extra and it has been great
