Big Lian Li. 8/30/14. Polishing and radiator painting.

Hello. I actually started working on this case 1.5 years ago but just recently found this fine forum. So I'll do cliff notes to what I've done in the past since there are nearly 600 pics in the album.

First it started as a 2p machine.

But then I lost interest in the build for a while. Ended up picking it up again 6 months later. This time with a single socket.

Then I moved to z87 and acrylic tubing.

Then about a month ago I decided to try something different. Decided to try an inverse atx. I'm not much a modder nor do I have a garage. So besides a cordless drill ill only be using hand tools.

Test fit of the backplate.

Filing the edges for it to fit.

Frosted and painted the reservoir.

Cut and tapped the new motherboard tray.

Test fitting.

Cut the hole in the backplate.

Counter sinking the rivet holes.

Cutting holes for the cable management. Also added the screws for the cable management.

Working on the 24 pin.

I decided to repolish all my blocks.

Had to modify the Titan block in order to fit the 780Ti. Also painted the caps, connectors, and edge of the PCB black.

Painted the battery.

A frontal pic.

More cable management work.

Still have more cable management work left but i'll be using these in the near future.

Thanks Y'all!

Got back from vacation yesterday. So I worked on the GPU cables.

Unfortunately the sun was down so the pics aren't very good.

These fans have a hard reflective sticker. Rather impressed, except they aren't black.

My new radiators fans. Supposedly these Phanteks are top dog for quieter high pressure 140mm fans.

Monsoon silver bullets, came with a reservoir I bought. Pretty nifty but I won't be using them.

Sheet of aluminum w/ plastic wrapping in place.

Weird angle shot of the backside of the mainboard tray.

Have the SSD and fan controller mounted in place. This is just a temporary SSD so I can get the cables made. I have a 480GB Mushkin Chronos Deluxe on the way.

They are. Comparative testing on some modding site found them to be the most powerful for the noise produced. I've got two for my project, and doing a test run with a bench power supply showed them to be insanely powerful and practically inaudible.

I have to say that I credit this man for helping me throughout my water cooling journey (other people from HWC also helped me a lot). This is one classy guy and I am glad to know him (even though I don't know him in person). Keep up the good work lowfat.

It was no problem. You have gone a long way in such a short time.

@Nexxo, thanks for you opinion on the fans. They do feel like sturdy fans. I've powered them up and they sound good. I just haven't tried them on a radiator yet.

Continuing working on the cable management. So very close to completing the PSU.

Just need to crimp on some new connectors for the fan controller and SSD.

Got a couple of new toys for the rig today. First was Topre Realforce 87U. I've been wanting one of these bad boys for about 5 years. Finally thought it was time to try one out. I am definitely say I am very much impressed. I definitely will be retiring my Filco w/ cherry blues for this.

Next was a 480GB Mushkin Chronos Deluxe. One of the cheapest 480GB drives I could find that used toggle NAND. Didn't know it had a nice brushed aluminum case. Pulled the label off 30 seconds after opening it. Looks so good naked.

That SSD does look great naked. What the brand on that fan controller?
