SanDisk launches 240MB/s USB flash drive

Serious speed at a hefty price.

pricing has been confirmed at 149.95 in the UK, putting it considerably above the level of an admittedly less-portable 128GB 2.5" SATA drive in a USB 3.0 housing.
If it was only a 128GB you could get for less, but you can actually get a 240GB Crucial M500 in a USB 3.0 housing for 125.98.

So yep, SanDisk is def asking way too much.

Not sure I would be happy to carry that around, USB sticks are so easy to loose

I'd rather go with a eSATAp (powered) adapter ($6 from china) and a regular SSD. Some of the SSD PCB's take up such a small space that you could easily hack it into something much smaller than a standard 2.5" case.

If you need compact then make sure you have a smartphone with a removable battery, the battery compartment is usually big enough that you can use it to store one or more extra microSD cards.
