News Kinect being dropped from Xbox One packages

I heard that the Kinect has X-ray vision and can read your thoughts

 

I hear it can watch you masturbate.

 

So you still have to pay the same amount of money for the less powerful console...hmmm, Why is that a good deal???

If it were £299 (maybe,possibly £329) then I can see the point, but as it stands, this isn't really a price drop.

£350 for xbox without kinect.. £399 for xbox with kinect, and titanfall. This doesn't make any reasonable sense.

 

That was my thinking. You can get the XBO with Kinect and Titanfall for £380 so this really needs to be sub £300 at least.

That was the plan, a kinect in every living room. MS have been working busily on patenting techniques to work out how many people are watching at any given time and whether or not they are really paying attention, along with a host of other information about your viewing habits. Seems like the perfect sort of info to sell to advertisers, no?

Kinect + Xbone was meant to be a Nielsen box for the 21st century. It sits in your living room, knows what channel you are watching (if you plug your sky box etc in to it like a good slave) and all about your viewing habits. That sort of info. is gold. Really, MS should be giving these boxes away for free. They'd make their money back in a year or two if everyone had one.

 

But why give them away when you can have people PAY for them?

They're just following the ALCOA playbook (the guys who sell municipalities fluoride [a.k.a. industrial toxic waste, literally] to dump into their water supplies)...

 

But don't worry, it derives no joy from this. It's a purely clinical view.

 

Mine refuses to turn back on after I masturbated in front of it.

 

It gives you feedback to enhance performance. Cortana says: "Faster... slower... longer strokes..." and afterwards gives you an experience rating. it's Microsoft's answer to the Wii Fit platform.

Sony has something similar for the PS4 EyeToy, but there you do it to the beat of disco music and there's kawai Japanese magna girls cheering you on.*

How did a topic about Microsoft unbundling the Kinect descend into this.

 

Ms need to keep Kinect to maintain their MS ecosystem. Its the use of Skype they need to leave it there for.
for them to cut out the Kinect must be just a attempt to prevent kids for cam ****ing each other.
